The House that …

(as my cousins put it) … PUKED Christmas.

the house that ...

Obviously, these homeowners LOVE to decorate. I have a hard time getting the tree up, so I can’t imagine doing this annually. ‘Griswold’s on CRACK’ was my description. Georgia informed me later that they thought the presents in the tree were beautiful.

What do you think?

Wow. That puts my double strand of red lights around the door to shame. I tend to go for simple when it comes to exterior Christmas decor. And, climbing a tree to hang presents from the branches just doesn’t seem quite worth it. That being said, Levi would squeal over that house.

I LOVE IT! Tacky? Yes, but I bet they have a heck of a time celebrating Christmas. I love seeing families who go all out despite the fact that they might look silly I bet they have a better time than most of us at Christmas!

Well…I like the archway….and the nutcrackers. Hey, you could do the “Where’s Waldo” thing with this one. Where’re the nutcrackers?!?

Well, unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) one does not get the full effect from the photo. I can’t think of a better description than Griswolds on Crack. Amy might be right, but good grief, enough already.

Hey – what ever turns one on. If they enjoyed doing it that is what counts. There is no accounting for taste.

I’m not sure whether I love it or hate it!

I just stumbled across you today, very interesting even though I don’t have kids myself :) I started reading back and lost track of time, time for bed methinks – I have to work tomorrow!

I am much more forgiving about tacky decorations at Christmas than any other time of the year. Just their personal way of expression. :-)

Yikes. I love holiday decor but this is a bit much, especially for such a small house. It’s just…way too cluttered. I’ll have to take a a picture for you of a house in our neighborhood, it’s just as cluttered but much more tacky.

I would back my car up to their house and dump all my trash in their yard. If someone said anything I’d act as though I was at the local dump.

“What? The guy at the gas station said to go two blocks and take a right.”

That is pretty… tacky. I’d like to follow the golden rule – if you can’t say something nice then don’t say anything at all – but REALLY?! I just can’t imagine how they could think that looks nice! (If I believed in hell, I’m sure I just confirmed my entry)

LOL! I go for simple decorations. And I do agree with most of the people here – it definitely is tacky! Christmas decorations galore! hehehe :D

Looks like a major fire hazard. But good for them. There is a few people in our neighboorhood who have houses that look like this. They were asked last year to take them down but they are up again this year and I say good for them. If you want to take the time to put up so many lights I say good for you! Happy Holidays!

This could be the funniest thing I’ve seen all season long – it quite literally looks like it vomited Christmas – repeatedly. Thanks for the laugh!!

OMG!! Glad I saw this after Christmas because I could of had bad nightmares. But anyone think that maybe, just maybe that they do it to tick off their neighbors? Lol

Happy New Year

Wow! This is definitely one of the craziest houses that I’ve seen done up for Christmas. I think your cousins description fits it to a tee. :)

Now that the season is over, I find myself longing to have the decorations back up again. Before I had kids I would have said this house was tacky, but my kids have informed me that the houses that are “tastefully” decorated are boring.
