I have had the misfortune lately of having to deal with a couple of the nastiest ladies.
“The Customer is Always Right!”
I don’t think so … in fact, sometimes they are DOWN RIGHT WRONG! These same nasty customers who want something for nothing are often abusive too! However, I think it is wrong to reward bad behavior, it just perpetuates the problem.
I so enjoyed this article by ‘Cheif Happiness Officer’ – Alexander Kjerulf.
… it means that abusive people get better treatment and conditions than nice people. That always seemed wrong to me, and it makes much more sense to be nice to the nice customers to keep them coming back.
Don’t get me wrong, if I drop the ball … by all means, I want to fix it. I’ll apologize for it. Make it up to you. I’ll take steps to ensure I don’t make that same mistake again.
That said,
“NO – we will not take back the 4 potty training pants you used for six months on your twins because the elastic has worn out on one pair and you fear the other three are on their last legs as well. After 6 days … yes, 6 weeks … maybe, 6 Months … go jump in the lake!”

Just because…
What follows is one of my top ten most embarrassing moments!
Early 1990′s – Applebee’s Restaurant
I was on a date with a Dork. Just so you know it wasn’t the first date with ‘the Dork’ and it wasn’t the last. That last part probably doesn’t matter, but I’m telling you anyway.
(psst… don’t think I am mean calling him ‘the Dork’, he turned out to be much worse, but it a long, long story – just take my word for it, OK?)
‘The Dork’ and I were seated in a booth, across from each other. I am sure I’ve mentioned in previous posts that I have a serious (but not debilitating) diet cola addiction, so it shouldn’t come as any surprise, that I had a VERY large and icy Diet Coke in front of me. It’s also important that you know that the drink was really tall and the straw very long (remember those two details, ok?).
Just a sec… I’m going to run and grab a drink.

I am craving lobster!
** 10 minutes of silence ** fingers hovering over keyboard ** nothing!**
Is the title starting to make sense yet? My mind is blank … well, except for the LOBSTER.
I am thinking about taking up extreme-ironing –> I’ll get Mr. MK to try it out first, you know, so I don’t get hurt! It’s sort of a ‘kill two birds with one stone’ kind of sport –> get fit and get ready all in one go!
Which reminds me, I’ve been exhausted all week. I STILL haven’t recovered from my night out!
MommyKnows and Mr. MommyKnows (along with the 3 youngest WeKnowNothing hooligans) are thinking of taking MommyKnows on the Road. Just a short family trip, any suggestions? Where would you like to see us go?
Work is making me crazy! Anyone out there want a career in etail?

Am I raising ‘Little Suzy Home-Wrecker’?
Like mother, like daughter!
Hey! That’s not true, my kitchen is nearly always clean! I’d never pile my dishes on the counter! The mess in this play kitchen is starting to get on my nerves. I get my kitchen looking spiffy, I turn around and have to look at this.
Georgia for heaven sakes clean up your kitchen! Really, it’s so much easier if you do them right after dinner the tea party! You’ll never get those ‘stuck on’ smarties off the pan if you leave them sitting over night.
Sam, when I ask you to bring in firewood –> TAKE. IT. ALL. THE. WAY. TO. THE. FIREPLACE! It SO does not belong in the middle of the kitchen.
Lizzy, you’re still on my good side –> STAY. THERE!

I was cooking dinner (whoohoo) and Georgia was eating a DQ Dilly Bar.
“Muma, me want more ice freme.”
“Yes Georgia, after you eat supper you can have more ice cream.”
(note: I often say, “YES” before I mean NO to lighten the blow … this time it just didn’t work (not fair!).

Did I really say I was going to blog everyday for 365 days? Really? Did you believe me?
*SIGH* I am all out of ideas. It could be that I still haven’t recovered from my sleepless weekend.
Believe it or not, I am on my way back to the warehouse (it’s 6:45 pm). I was there ALL day and I will be there until late tonight. Our BIG sale is going well, but we use an outdated inventory system (I COUNT it) … so to make sure we don’t over sell, I have to pull and prepack orders as they come in. ACK!
I was going to show you some more pictures …
Oops! Sorry! Even I am getting sick of looking @ pictures of this kid in a tutu. Oh well, one more won’t kill ya!

Last night I stayed out ALL night! *GASP* don’t worry; it’s not as sordid as it sounds.
It was a planned birthday night out for one of my closest friends. Her husband booked us a luxury suite at River Cree Resort and Casino. Besides the odd cruise ship casino, I have never been to one. I am not much of gambler … I lost $60 in 10 minutes and was done.
I rarely put on makeup…
I figured I may as well get a picture.
