Lizzy wants you all to know that Sam isn’t the only brave soul living in our house of horrors. She too is BRAVE!

Pretty Smile II
Lucky (maybe not) Lizzy has had three front teeth. It wasn’t a problem with the baby teeth, but it is causing problems with her permanent teeth. Wednesday she went to the torture chamber dentist to have two teeth pulled.

Torture Tools
Ouch ~ Tools of the trade!

Frozen
Three needles later and she is still smiling. You ARE brave Lizzy! It looks like you are good and frozen too! Heehee.

Snaggle Tooth
OMGosh, I think I am going to pass out! Sorry folks, but “YES”, this is absolutely necessary to show that these siblings are equally brave and live through horrors (all with crazy photo-taking mother looking on).
Goodbye Snaggle Tooth!

A stitch or two later, a dig through the treasure chest, a large cheque and we were off shopping for school clothes.

Sorry, she insisted on no photo’s of the slobbery, gauze filled mouth that left the dentist. She did offer to flip Electrolux the bird, as a parting shot. Being the ‘good’ mommy that I am, I declined.

Sam Survivor

On a happier note, Sam wants you to know he is fine and back to playing in the streets.

To be the next winner (or maybe even win again), you need only leave a comment.

EVERY day in September I’m giving away free prizes (maybe more, but at least one). Just like in the past the winners will be randomly drawn and posted here on the site.

The winners will be able to choose one of any of the prizes listed on the flickr set: Super September. Once an item is chosen, it will be removed from flickr and will no longer be available (unless I have two … which I do for some).

All you have to do to win each day’s prize is leave a comment on the most current post.

All prizes are provided by: www.thebabymarketplace.com in conjuction with www.mommyknows.com

Hou la la… Pauvre petite chouette. Elle a pas trop mal prit cela!

3 captain corky September 1, 2007 at 05:24

Your daughter is brave! I hate dentists. I hate everything about them. Some people say that they’re just like you and me, but I’ll never believe that. Not for one second. The animals.

4 Marla September 1, 2007 at 05:54

Love the September prizes ~ lots of great boy items this time :)

5 Divrchk September 1, 2007 at 06:06

Wow. You must have freaked out when her teeth started coming in :-) She is very brave and a cutie.

6 Kait September 1, 2007 at 06:12

I had 4 teeth pulled when I was about her age. It was so traumatic I hate dentists to this day.

7 Alexia September 1, 2007 at 06:58

The dentists, a hated man in our house. What a brave, brave girl.

8 Cherylyn September 1, 2007 at 07:15

Good to see Sam up and at it, way to go Liz, you are brave!

9 serina September 1, 2007 at 07:29

Ugh, teeth and blood. She’s so brave!

10 Michelle September 1, 2007 at 08:11

Poor kid that must have sucked!

11 glittersmama September 1, 2007 at 08:31

Wow. When I had my wisdom teeth pulled, I had to be knocked out. Brave girl!

12 lace September 1, 2007 at 08:35

What a brave girl. I too had to have teeth pulled when I was little. The needle is the part to be scared of. It feels like they are trying to reach your brain to numb it.

13 Kami September 1, 2007 at 08:45

Oh no! I feel her pain, I had both baby front teeth pulled after I “loosened” them significantly on cement. I still remember it being a painful experience.

Hope she feels as good as Sam soon!

14 Karyne September 1, 2007 at 08:53

I really hate dentists!

15 Montserrat September 1, 2007 at 08:59

Lizzy, you are one tough cookie! Aren’t you glad your mom’s there to document it all?

16 Mama K September 1, 2007 at 09:01

oh ouch! brave. yes.

17 Andrea September 1, 2007 at 09:48

Oh yes…you do have brave kiddos!! ;)

18 Teresa September 1, 2007 at 09:49

What a brave girl. I don’t know many people that like the dentist and I think this is a perfect example why. :) Way to go girl!!!

19 Magi September 1, 2007 at 10:00

Ouch. That does not look fun. Here’s to both your brave children!

20 Beth September 1, 2007 at 10:01

I hate going to the dentist-brave girl!

21 Joi September 1, 2007 at 10:51

Holy Cow! I am not even that brave.. Needles, especially one in my mouth, TERRIFY ME!! I have had one crown and 3 teeth filled & have 2 more crowns and 8 more fillings needed – Thanks to my pregnancy with Harlie. I am SO glad that insurance only pays so much a year so that it can be spread out for my sake! hehe

22 Laura September 1, 2007 at 10:53

Ouch!
My youngest DS just got a baby tooth in a very odd place (this was partly expected). I really, really hope I — I mean HE won’t have to go through getting it yanked anytime soon. :(
Brave momma!

23 Deb September 1, 2007 at 11:23

What a sport she is! My goodness, I probably would have been crying in the chair.

24 corey September 1, 2007 at 11:52

What a brave girl! Love the pics. I am crazy like that too! :)

25 Carey September 1, 2007 at 12:29

Oh, i know how she(and you) feel. My daughter just had 4 adult molars pulled on Monday. Didnt think to bring my camera though. It was not a fun time. I posted about it this week as well on my blog.

26 Laura September 1, 2007 at 13:07

You go girl…and so beautiful too!

27 Mrs. Pear September 1, 2007 at 14:03

OH! Poor darling! She is a trooper! I hated getting teeth pulled – I had to have 4 pulled for braces because my mouth was crowded – 2 towards the back on each side, one top, one bottom!

She is a regular pillar of strength!

And if my guess is not wrong, nicely full of ice cream – afterall, you have to keep that coppery taste out of your mouth!

28 Naomi September 1, 2007 at 14:45

Way to go, Lizzy! What’s she going to do with the teeth?

29 Deanne S. September 1, 2007 at 14:47

You actually go out and do clothes shopping????? I figured you of all people could skip that task!!

30 Kathryn September 1, 2007 at 14:58

She IS brave.. My oldest has had several teeth pulled. Our dentist’s office talks about “wiggling them out”. The first time, he wanted to know why he had holes in his mouth. “Honey, that’s where they pulled your tooth out”.. “WHAT???!! No one told me they were PULLING teeth out!”.. Poor baby.

31 Jaime Stephens September 1, 2007 at 19:49

Yikes! She’s far braver than I am. Way to go Lizzy.

32 Heather September 1, 2007 at 20:12

Great job Lizzy! I also had a mouthful of teeth pulled when I got braces. It was not fun and the drooling mouthful of bloody gauze was hardly attractive either.

33 Bree September 1, 2007 at 20:34

wow! she is brave!! I dont like the dentist and I dont like teeth pulled..I am afraid to get my wisdom teeth out!

34 alison September 1, 2007 at 21:24

I love the “can’t quite get my mouth what I want it to” smile shot.

35 maddiesmom September 1, 2007 at 22:04

Ohh, that brought back memories!!

36 Nikki September 1, 2007 at 22:11

I nearly pass out just looking at those pictures and thinking about it. I HATE the dentist.

37 Mefeng September 1, 2007 at 23:06

Great job Lizzy. Dentists are not bad guys (at least not for me) after all. They helped you to have healthy teeth and nice smile. Love them!!

38 Michelle September 2, 2007 at 00:08

Oh my gosh, I absolutely *hate* trips to the dentist, for me, my kids, anyone! Poor thing.

I can’t believe you’re continuing the giveaways through September, whoo hoo!

39 Hannah September 2, 2007 at 01:25

Wow, she really IS brave!!

40 sarah September 2, 2007 at 03:34

Your kids are both very brave, I kinda think you are too, taking your camera into the dentist…

41 Safire September 2, 2007 at 07:25

Wow, great job Lizzy!

42 Lisa September 2, 2007 at 07:42

What a brave kid:) My oldest had two extra teeth and it was no fun to have them pulled.

43 Deb on the Rocks September 2, 2007 at 08:11

My kid’s dentist called it wiggling out too. After he had two pulled, my son glared at the dentist and said “That wasn’t wiggling!” Then he went and took 3 extra prizes from the treasure chest. JUSTICE!

44 mama2izzy September 2, 2007 at 09:38

You are a very brave girl! I am so scared of the dentist that I try my hardest not to go. I’m glad I haven’t had to deal with anything like this with my daughter…yet!!

45 Paige September 3, 2007 at 13:03

Brave.

46 Jamie September 3, 2007 at 19:57

Man, I had a whack of teeth pulled all at once, but I was 17! That’s pretty brave for a wee one!

47 Suzanne September 5, 2007 at 09:23

I had so many baby teeth pulled that I lost count… felt like I was living at the dentist office!

48 Abby September 5, 2007 at 14:28

nothing like a little retail therapy to get over the horror of the dentist office!!! even my husband isn’t that brave!!! :)
