So I Changed My Mind …

Just before we left Canmore, Mr. MK asked if I’d need my camera (D70) for the trip home.

I wrinkled my nose in disbelief (my ‘that’s a dumb question’ look) and said, “UHHH, NO!”

So an hour or so later when I kept oooing and ahhhhing over the mountain view and the sky. He looked at me in disbelief and said, “you want the camera right?”

Mountain View
Big DEAL, so I changed my mind! How in the heck was I supposed to know that the clouds were going to open up right over the rockies and make them shine like that? It’s not like I wanted him to have to unpack the van on the side of the road!

The photo doesn’t do the sunset justice. I really wanted Mr. MK to pull off down a side road and drive to a high spot, so I could take a photo without all the ‘junk’ in the foreground. BUT, I sort of wanted a ride home more.

We’re finally home! I am SORE, STIFF … OLD.

That is just a gorgeous picture regardless of the “stuff” in the foreground…you actually don’t even notice it because the mountains are so spectacular. Oh man, I am craving a trip to the mountains SO BAD right now!

Well worth unpacking the van for. And miraculous that you had time to do it and still get the light!
I envy your equipment and skills. In a good way.
