i wish kids here in the us had to remember our vets like that…i tried to have a really nice dinner ready for my mr. hubby last night to honor his service in the military…the FREAKIN’ slow cooker wasn’t turned on so my feast was wrecked! we celebrated at our local pub instead! guess it was the thought that counted!!

Aw your daughter looks so cute and very proud to be wearing her uniform. ItÂ´s also Rememberance Day in the UK on 11.11, so I wore my poppy for a good few weeks as well. It is nice to see people who care. I always feel proud when I walk past an older person and they notice my poppy. It makes me feel like IÂ´m doing my bit now, even though I wasnÂ´t there to help at the time. STARBUCKS GIVEAWAY! Woohoo!!! Keeping my fingers crossed... That is a photo to treasure. On veterans day I honour my grandfather, who lost his hearing in the war, and the sacrifices of all our Canadian soldiers and their families. It is important to remember. Thank you for speaking about it on your blog, and for sharing In Flanders Fields.

I love that poem! Lizzy looks very grown up in her Navy League Cadet uniform! That is super how the schools celebrate. My 90 year old dad is a veteran of
