To celebrate Earth Day the kids and I planted trees.

We used a spruce tree seed card from Majesta.

Here Sam cuts up the seed card.

Lizzy plants her seeds. (psst … she’s grumpy because I made her put a rather new and flavourful baseball-sized hunk of gum in the garbage {sheesh}).

Georgia waters her seeds. An hour later she was pretty sure she saw them growing. HA!

The kids have been talking a lot about Earth Day at school and understand the importance of ‘Trees’ and the environment. Sam explained to Georgia that trees make oxygen for the earth. Then Georgia wanted to know if it was easier to breathe in the forest than in the middle of a big empty field.

You’ve gotta love kids, eh?

We’ve been using/testing out ‘green’ paper products (toilet paper, paper towels and tissue) from Majesta for several weeks now and love them! They also provided us with the seed card to allow us to plant our Earth Day spruce trees.
