30 Tiny Moments – Day 1

in 30 Tiny Moments, Family, General

Inspired by Amanda Soule, Kerflop has started “30 Tiny Moments” – a project to capture the ‘right now’ of family life using photos of the ‘real’ little moments each day (for thirty days).

I thought Amanda Soule’s photos were terrific and decided Kerflop was on to a good thing. Seeing as I am doing blog365, why not, right?

I don’t like loud noises of any sort (well, maybe music), so I spend a lot of time hushing my children, telling them to, “SETTLE DOWN – BE QUIET – SIT DOWN!”

Tonight while making supper, they were horsing around in the kitchen. Rather, than stop the fun, I snapped a few pictures (while the grilled cheese burned). This is Day 1 of my “30 Tiny Moments“.

30 Tiny Moments - Day 1

I really wish we had more than one nine hours of daylight! By the time I decided to participate it was dark and the picture is not great.

I am going to put my “30 Tiny Moments” here. You can play too (I dare you)! Tag your photos (in flickr) with “30tinymoments” (no quotation marks … all lower case) and then we can all enjoy them here.

What’s on Georgia’s sweet little face? I’m hoping it’s food and not battle wounds.

Well I’ll give it a shot.. like I need any reason to take more photos! What you’ll need to do after this 30 tiny moments project is to host a contest for free photofinishing!

Here’s my pic I uploaded. Tala today. We got a fairly major snowfall today and her finger’s were freezing cold as she wouldn’t keep her mittens on!

What a sweet idea. We all need to cherish some of the small moments more – and why not capture the everyday events in pictures. I will have to join everyone and keep my camera handy! Thanks for letting us know about this.

It is so funny that you have started doing this – one of my “goals’ since my son was born was to try to take picture a day and then keep it with a journal posting on my computer. I haven’t been perfect but the effort has been fun and brought about a ton of memories!

Okay, I’m in. It might take me a few days to sort out the flickr thingy so it might end up being the “25 tiny moments” for me!

Just as an aside, a group of women and I on another forum decided to play the “a day in the life” photo exercise. It involved taking pictures all day to show what a typical day is like. It was great fun and hilarious.

First of all, your girls are gorgeous. They really look like they were enjoying themselves. At least, they were in the kitchen wanting to be by you! I like your ideas of the photos. I am terrible, and so is my husband, about using a camera. Good luck with your project…..Cindi
